In 1954 the Tokyu Flyers were bought by the Toei Company and renamed the Toei Flyers, a name they held for almost two decades. They had their most success in 1962, when they won their only Japan Deries and Pacific Lesgue title. In 1973, the team became the Nittaku Home Flyers.
